What to Expect
We’ve answered some of the most common questions we receive about our inspections, reports, and process. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, we’re always happy to help.

1 / What is included in a building inspection?
A building inspection provides a thorough check of the property’s condition, including structural elements, walls, floors, roof, ceilings, doors, windows, and visible plumbing and electrical systems. We also look for water damage, safety hazards, and compliance issues, so you know exactly what you’re getting.
2 /Do you inspect new builds and existing homes?
Yes. We specialise in both existing residential properties and newly built homes. For new builds, we check that construction meets Queensland building standards and identify any defects before handover.
3 /What is a Home Buyers Guarantee?
Our Home Buyers Guarantee gives you peace of mind, knowing the property has been inspected by a qualified QBCC-registered builder. It’s our way of assuring you that the inspection is thorough and professional.
4 /How long does an inspection take?
Most inspections take 1–2 hours, depending on the property’s size and complexity. Larger homes or new builds may take a bit longer to ensure everything is carefully checked.
5/ Do I need to be present during the inspection?
It’s not required, but it’s highly recommended. Attending allows you to ask questions as we go, see any concerns firsthand, and better understand the property’s condition.
6 /Are your inspections QBCC registered?
Yes. All inspections are conducted by a QBCC-registered builder in compliance with Queensland industry standards, giving you confidence in the quality and professionalism of the inspection.
7 /Are your inspections QBCC registered?
Yes. All inspections are conducted by a QBCC-registered builder in compliance with Queensland industry standards, giving you confidence in the quality and professionalism of the inspection.
8 /Can I rely on the inspection to buy the property?
A building inspection identifies defects, risks, and maintenance issues to help you make informed decisions. While it provides a clear view of the property’s current condition, it’s not a guarantee against future issues.
9 /How soon will I get the inspection report?
Reports are delivered promptly, usually within 24–48 hours. They’re easy to understand, highlighting any issues and key points to give you confidence in your next steps.
10 /What happens if issues are found?
If we identify issues, they’re highlighted clearly in the report. This information can help you discuss repairs with the seller, negotiate your purchase, or arrange further assessments by trades.
